Fátima Belén Jiménez Guzmán, originally from Chiapa de Corzo, is a Mexican artist in various plastic techniques and co-founder of “Las Kalacas”, a muralist duo with the Chiapas artist Deidy Vicente, along with which he has transformed abandoned spaces in the cities of Chiapa de Corzo, Comitán, Tapachula and Tuxtla, by covering them with murals with female presences, under the title: “Presence between avenues.”

The Kalacas were winners of the 2020 mural contest: “The Colors of my Chiapas” organized by the Chiapas State Youth Institute with their work: ”Nuances and Freshness of my Land”.

Always surrounded by a creative environment by her grandfather and father, both sculptors, she was inspired and motivated to share a career in art. Fátima Jiménez graduated from the Bachelor of Visual Arts at the University of Sciences and Arts of Chiapas, collaborating in multiple collaborative and individual exhibitions such as the International Exhibition of Plastic Arts (Bolivia, Peru, Mexico) “Pseudónimo María” in 2019.</p > Learn more about her at
