Braian Mauricio Meraz Balcázar better known as Joa Meraz is an artist, self-taught illustrator and workshop facilitator from Chiapas with extensive knowledge of pictorial techniques and digital design who has participated in various itinerary and collective pictorial collections in Mexico.

His latest presentations include the individual exhibition “Cinema de Oro Contemporáneo” at the Faculty of Medicine of the Autonomous University of Chiapas in 2018, the collective exhibition Arte Actual at the Cultural Center of Chiapas Jaime Sabines in 2020 and the solo exhibition “Etheric Bodies: Duel Through Art” at the Rectory Cultural Center Gallery, UNICACH in 2022.

He graduated with a degree in Visual Arts from the University of Sciences and Arts of Chiapas. His work includes the instruction of Mexican children and youth in various artistic creation and production techniques.</ P>
